Born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Vidhya, spent the first half of her life in a small town in South Nigeria and the second half in a small town in South India. Experiencing two starkly different cultures that were startlingly similar when it came to the way women were treated, intrigued her.  From a young age, she has always wanted to explore themes that are universal but manifest themselves in different ways across cultures through her writing. This story is personal to her, as she has seen first-hand the ways in which women are emotionally manipulated into partaking in their own disenfranchisement. Vidhya believes that with awareness and empathy, change will follow and hopefully this film will play a part to inspire that change.
